Poole Speedway

Poole Speedway.

We were approached by one of the UK’s most famous speedway teams, the Poole Pirates, to build a unique, custom website that will provide fans with a single location to find all information regarding the Pirates including rider profiles, fixture information and the team’s latest news. The website also needed to provide their many sponsors with unique advertisement opportunities.

Our web development team created a specialised system that incorporates auto updating league tables, photo galleries, rider profiles, news and twitter feeds. All of these information streams are designed to be updated whilst maintaining the character of Poole Speedway and keeping the theme of the site consistent. This system also ensures that manually updating and changing the website is easy for the website administrator.

With around 50% of their website traffic coming from mobile and tablet users, it was extremely important the website design was responsive and that these users also enjoyed a visually engaging, fast and smooth experience. An online shop is due to be added soon to help increase club revenue.
